Good to know

Questions owners ask us.

Vaccinations, food, medication, updates and cancellations, in plain language. If yours isn’t here, WhatsApp us and we’ll answer it.

Before you come

What vaccinations does my pet need?

Dogs need an up-to-date DHPPiL and rabies vaccine, and kennel cough if they join daycare. Cats need F3 or F4 and, if they were vaccinated for rabies, that card too. We check the vaccination card at every check-in, so please bring it or a photo of it from your vet app.

Do you require flea and tick treatment?

Yes. Treatment must be within 30 days of check-in, with a spot-on or oral product from your vet. If you forget, we can apply one at check-in for RM 35, so no one is turned away.

Can I bring my own food?

Please do. A changed diet is the fastest way to an upset tummy, so we only feed what your pet eats at home. Pre-portion it into labelled bags or boxes, one for each meal, and add a few spare days. We also stock a few premium brands if you run out, at cost.

Can you give medication?

Yes. Oral and topical medicines are given exactly as your vet wrote it. Bring them in the original container with the instructions; the medication add-on is RM 6 per pet per night. Injections, such as insulin, are done by our vet nurse at a short briefing at check-in.

Booking

How far ahead should I book for Raya, CNY or Deepavali?

Six to eight weeks ahead. Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year and Deepavali weeks are our busiest, and some rooms are gone before the long weekend is even announced. A peak surcharge of 20% applies on the nights inside the peak dates, and we hold your room with a 50% deposit.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free to cancel or change dates up to 7 days before check-in (14 days for peak periods). After that, the deposit is kept, unless your pet is unwell and you have a vet’s note, in which case we move the deposit to a new date.

Can my two cats or dogs share a room?

Yes, and they usually prefer to. Siblings and housemates share a room at a lower rate for the second pet. Our Family Suite takes up to three cats from the same household. Dogs that don’t know each other are never mixed in a room.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is 11:00 am – 1:00 pm or 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Check-out is before 12:00 noon. Afternoon pick-ups between 4:00 and 6:00 pm are charged half a night. Pet taxi pick-ups within Shah Alam can be arranged for RM 45 return.

During the stay

Will I get updates while I’m away?

Every day, twice a day. You get a photo and a short message on WhatsApp in the morning and another in the evening. You can book a short video call each day for RM 5 a night, and anyone can ask for a live CCTV view.

Will my cat be stressed?

We work hard to avoid it. Cats are in their own wing, away from dogs and their noise, with calming diffusers, a hiding box in every room and a carer who sits quietly with shy guests. Bring a worn T-shirt or blanket that smells like home. Most cats are eating normally on day one.

What if my pet gets sick?

We check each guest’s appetite, drinking, toilet habits and mood several times a day. If anything is off, we call you first, then take your pet to our partner vet six minutes away. Vet fees are charged at cost with no markup, and we send you the report.

Can I visit before I book?

Yes. Book a 20-minute tour any day between 10 am and 5 pm and you can see the rooms, meet the carers and ask anything. Daycare dogs have a free 2-hour trial first.

Grooming

Do you groom nervous, senior or matted pets?

Yes, with a gentler pace. We never use sedation, and we would rather stop and finish another day than push a scared pet. Heavily matted coats are shaved short for comfort, and we always agree the price and style with you first.

How long does a grooming session take?

A bath and tidy takes 1.5 to 2 hours; a full groom for a large or long-coat pet can take up to 3.5 hours. We send you a photo when your pet is ready for pick-up.
